OKEYHAUL costs: how to budget for a complete haul
Work out what to budget beyond the item price, including delivery, service fees, international shipping and import charges. Follow an example budget to organise your estimates. The example is not a price quote.
Add the selected goods, domestic delivery, purchasing and payment charges, optional services, international freight and destination charges. The product price alone is not the delivered total. Keep all amounts in one comparison currency, and replace estimates with actual charges as each stage is completed.
Quick checklist
- Record item prices in the seller’s currency.
- Include domestic delivery and selected services.
- Compare the final packed shipping quote.
- Allow for payment costs and destination charges.
What belongs in the total cost?
Record the price for each selected option, the quantity and domestic delivery to the warehouse. Check whether a displayed amount is a full price or a deposit. Do not assume several orders share one domestic shipping fee merely because the photographs or seller names look similar.
Budget formula
Delivered budget = goods + domestic delivery + purchasing charges + payment / conversion costs + selected services + packaging + international freight + destination charges. Count each charge once: a fee already included in another line should not be added again.
How do I compare payment and exchange costs?
Review any purchasing service charge, payment processing charge and currency conversion before paying. Compare the amount leaving your payment account with the balance or purchasing power received. A percentage quoted elsewhere may not describe your payment method or transaction.
Effective exchange-rate example
If your bank debits USD 125 and the account receives CNY 850, the effective rate is 850 ÷ 125 = 6.80 CNY per USD. Compare the net amount received with the total debit, including separately charged processing costs. These are assumed figures, not a current exchange-rate quote.
Check the cost of optional services
Additional photos, measurements, reinforced packaging, storage extensions and other services can add to the total. Decide what each extra answers or protects. Check whether the charge applies to one item, one order or the whole parcel, and avoid paying twice for the same request.
| Charge | Check before approving |
|---|---|
| Photo or measurement | Is it priced per photo, item or request, and which view will be supplied? |
| Packaging | Does the freight quote already include the chosen materials? |
| Purchasing charge | Which item amount is used for any percentage calculation? |
| Payment cost | Is it a separate charge, part of the conversion rate, or both? |
| Destination charge | Was it collected at checkout, prepaid in the route, or left for arrival? |

Update your budget when you receive a shipping quote
Early estimates are useful for deciding whether a bulky jacket or shoe box fits your budget. Replace them with the packed quote once the contents and packaging are known. Use the same destination, route assumptions and contents when comparing options.
Allow for arrival charges
Check whether the shipping offer includes destination taxes and clearance, and which charges remain payable by the recipient. Keep a reserve for costs that have not yet been confirmed. A shipping discount does not by itself make a route the cheapest total option.
Worked budget: what could a three-item haul cost?
Add goods, domestic freight, purchasing and payment costs, selected extras, international freight and any destination charges. If the total is too high, remove an optional item before packing. Buying another item simply to spread a shipping charge can still increase the amount you spend.
| Budget line | Assumed amount | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Goods | 560 | Shoes 320 + hoodie 160 + T-shirt 80 |
| Domestic delivery | 24 | Combined charges from the selected sellers |
| Purchasing services | 18 | Assumed service charge |
| Payment / conversion costs | 12 | Assumed cost counted once |
| Extra QC request | 10 | One selected request |
| Packaging | 16 | Chosen protective materials |
| International freight | 210 | Assumed packed-parcel quote |
| Subtotal before destination reserve | 850 | 560 + 24 + 18 + 12 + 10 + 16 + 210 |
| Destination reserve | 45 | Planning allowance only, not a calculated tax bill |
| Estimated budget including reserve | 895 | 850 + 45 |

How to use the example
Replace every amount with your own selected option and quote. Keep an unpaid estimate labelled as an estimate. If a prepaid route already includes a particular destination charge, remove the duplicate allowance for that charge. The final delivered cost is known only after all applicable payments and adjustments are settled.
What if the final shipping quote exceeds my budget?
Before approving packing, compare removing an optional item, changing suitable packaging or using another eligible route. Compare the revised total rather than freight alone. If you consider returning an item, include return charges and check eligibility first.
Common questions
Are the product prices on this site delivered prices?
No. They are dated reference item prices in CNY. Confirm the chosen option and all additional charges before paying.
Will cancelling an item return every fee?
Not necessarily. Completed services, shipping and payment costs may be treated separately from the item price.
Can I convert the CNY item price using a search-engine exchange rate?
That gives a rough reference. Use the total debit and net credit from the actual payment method for a realistic comparison.
Will a shipping coupon make my haul cheaper overall?
Compare the final payable quote, eligibility and added services. A percentage discount alone does not establish the lowest complete cost.
